Graves Estate:

Zen kitchen zen mind. Zen frogs too. We could write a book. And hopefully will soon enough. The secret gem of the northwest. Look up Morris Graves. Read his story. We slept in the same beds and ate at the same table as John Cage and Merce Cunningham- not as tourists, but as honored guests. The honor was greatly ours. Most of 20th century art thought passed through this house. Now I have a physical center to match the space I have carved in my mind. The ripples thrown off from this place still reverberate through our culture, soft warm ripples, like the folds of childhood's favorite blanket.
